Ryan: the teacher stopped the class in the middle of a working period and she was all "I have an announcement to make... it's about one of your fellow classmates. For the past few weeks you've been working on a book essay. One of my students, Ryan Juntado, wanted to do his on a 5th grade level book. I was hesitant at first, so I told him to read another book and write a comparative thesis paper. When he turned in his essay last wednesday, I was literally blown away. I asked some of the other L.A. teachers what they thought of his work, and they all agreed it was college level writing. You should ALL be proud to have Ryan in you class. You could all learn from Ryan. Set his achievements as goals for yourself, and NEVER be afraid to ask him for help." THEN some kid jokingly said "Heh... should we all CLAP for him or something?" and she said yeah... and she MADE me stand up so the ENTIRE class could give me a round of applause!
